Two studies by Russian composer Leonid Kubbel (1891 St. Petersburg-1942 during the siege of Leningrad ), two very elegant minimalist works.
First, it proposes to cancel, the white pawns are dominated by the black pieces ... apparently, of course!
Then a little fantasy to illustrate the square of the pawn and the flyaround ...

67 chess players have responded to the invitation of friendly club Stiring-Wendel for their quick return: Surprise victory of Fide master Alain Genzlinger (Vandoeuvre-Chess) in front of several other masters and grand masters international. The GMI Slim Belkhodja (Exchequer Châlonnais) ranks second and Fide master Cedric Paci (Vandoeuvre-Chess) third overall. Many prizes were awarded at this tournament.

Very good atmosphere. Arbitration Team consisted of Mr. Peter Becker (AF2) and two referees stiringeois, MM. Didier Bauer (AF4) and Lawrence Henry (AF4).
